Welcome to Diwan's Diary!
I am Diwan Biswakarma, the voice behind this blog. By nature, I have been a very quiet person, and have always been passionate about writing, poetry, and exploring the world around me through words.
Why Diwan's Diary?
This blog is my little corner on the internet where I share my thoughts, experiences, and reflections on life. Whether it’s a snippet of my day, a poem, or an in-depth piece on something that intrigues me, I’m here to connect with like-minded souls who appreciate the beauty of words.
What to Expect
In "Diwan's Diary," you’ll find a mix of personal stories, musings, and perhaps a few surprises along the way. I hope to create a space where we can all share and learn together.
About Me
I was born in a small village called Tulsipara, but basically, I belong to Nobgaon, a village located in the hills of the Kalimpong district. I was born on the 4th of December 1996 and the youngest of three brothers.
My journey in education started from my home, where my father used to teach me on a blackboard. I started my formal schooling at the age of five from Nav Jyoti English School in Nursery. Since I was an academically good student, I was directly promoted to UKG and skipped LKG. I continued till Class IV and then I shifted to Ramjhora Bazar Hindi High School. This was a big change; going to a Hindi-medium school that far away from home was quite tough and overwhelming for me as a little boy. Yet, my love for learning helped me excel in my studies.
After Madhyamik, I went to Birpara Shree Mahavir Hindi High School for higher secondary education. Then I joined Siliguri College to pursue my graduation in English Literature, which gave vent to my love for writing. Though I made only a few friends during my college years, those friendships are ones I treasure for life. And I did my post-graduation after that at the second campus of the University of North Bengal at Jalpaiguri.
When I used to teach children, very soon I realised that this was not what I enjoy doing for earning my life. Ultimately, an unexpected twist in my life opened the path for me toward academic content writing. It’s a path I have mixed feelings about—sometimes I enjoy it, and other times, it feels less fulfilling. I am an overthinker, and as a shy and reserved person, I know my introverted nature isn’t for everyone. Some people appreciate it, while others may not, but that’s just who I am.
That’s a glimpse into my story for now. I look forward to sharing more in my personal blogs here on “Diwan's Diary”. Stay tuned to join me on this journey.
